Location: Wigton (Rural)
Pay rate: £12.75/Hr.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am – 2:30pm, Friday 6am-1pm (Shift may be subject to change).
We are currently looking for a Sewing Machinist to join our client. The ideal candidate will have prior experience using industrial sewing machines; however, this is not necessary. You will be a key part of the production process, stitching mattress panels, borders, and covers to specification.
Responsibilities- Operate industrial sewing machines (e.g. overlock, flatbed, twin needle) to stitch various mattress components.
- Sew fabric and other upholstery materials to size, following detailed instructions or templates.
- Ensure all products are sewn to quality standards and production targets.
- Perform regular machine checks and report any maintenance issues.
- Work with other team members and departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean working area.
