Job overview:

We are delighted to recruit Trainee Nursing Associates to learn at the new Northumbria Health and Care Academy at Northumbria Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust. The programme will be run as part of a unique partnership with the University of Sunderland. You will work and train within the Trust, completing a variety of placements throughout the Trust, and learning at the Academy, taking advantage of the state of the art facilities for learning and simulated practice.

The Trainee Nursing Associate role works with existing nursing care support workers and Registered Nurses, providing the workforce we need for the future care of our patients. During the apprenticeship programme, the Trainee Nursing Associate will be employed for 2 years at Band 3 and, on successful completion, will be in a position to move into a Band 4 Registered Nursing Associate post. Please note the interview is a two stage process, with an individual interview and group exercise on 24th February 2025, and a skills scan on 3rd March 2025. Both dates must be attended and offers will not be made until all checks required on both days are complete. You will be required to bring evidence of qualifications (GCSE or Functional Skills) on your interview dates.
