Commercial Accountant/Finance Business Partner Location: Northampton (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car allowance of £6,600 and excellent benefits Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented accountant looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a fully qualified Commercial Accountant to join our client and take charge of the commercial aspects of their financial reporting. In this role, you will act as a business partner to the operational and management teams, ensuring the business runs efficiently and profitably. Key Responsibilities: Business Partnering: Support project management teams from tender through to completion and provide insights to manufacturing teams on BOM and direct costs. Commercial Awareness: Collaborate with sales managers to enhance commercial awareness and review recovery rates and departmental charging mechanisms. Performance Analysis: Assist in developing business performance data and analysis for Directors and Managers, and develop customer profitability analysis. Margin Improvement: Identify and communicate opportunities to increase margins and provide clear, accurate management information on commercial performance. Financial Modelling: Develop cashflow modelling for projects and key business activities, and assist in sales pipeline reporting. Reporting & Forecasting: Work alongside FPAM and CFO to improve the quality of analysis in monthly reporting and forecast preparation. Problem Solving: Proactively identify business issues that hinder financial projections and prepare ad hoc financial models and business cases. Travel: National and international travel as required.What We're Looking For: Qualifications: CIMA or ACCA qualified. Technical Skills: Strong intermediate Excel skills and experience with costing in a complex ERP environment, particularly SAP ERP. Experience: Proven experience in preparing management accounts, forecasts, and business analysis. Please be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled.
