The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Depot Operator to support the existing team with the daily operations at our cement handling terminal, bulk loading & packing plant facility. The successful candidate will oversee and operate our packing plant facility, maintain accurate records of inventory, ensure compliance with safety regulations, optimize depot operations, streamline processes, and improve productivity.
This role reports into the Depot Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, modify, and test process equipment, basic fault finding and correction on the bulk loading & packing plant machinery.
- Overseeing the rail offloading and bulk loading facilities when required.
- Regular checks and record keeping in regard to health, safety and environment legislation and for local permit requirements.
- General cleaning and housekeeping duties, and first line maintenance duties.
- Liaise with the Admin supervisor on warehouse issues.
- Ensure that the operation meets the customer service requirements by completing each function to the highest standards.
- Handle all aspects of Depot Operations, maintaining / operating the equipment.
- Check documentation and physically check loads before departure.
- Carry out general housekeeping and stocktaking to ensure that the profile of the site is maintained to the very highest standard.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working within a production environment. A valid counterbalance FLT license is desirable (accepted RTITB and ITSSAR accreditation, tested within the last three years).
