I'm excited to share an incredible opportunity to join the CWA (Civil Works Alliance) as an HR Data Analyst on the Sizewell C (SZC) project. This role offers you the chance to directly contribute to one of the UK's most ambitious and vital energy projects, where your data-driven insights will help shape the future of energy in the UK.
About the Role:
As an HR Data Analyst, you will play a key role in enhancing data management processes to support the strategic decision-making of the Sizewell C project. Your focus will be on developing efficient tools and processes to manage, analyse, and present data across various stakeholders involved in this landmark project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power BI Dashboards: Create and manage Power BI dashboards, both from new data and migrating from existing sources, to ensure efficient and effective data presentation.
- Data Quality Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of data quality across the delivery organisation, ensuring accurate and reliable data for decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to use data to drive product and process improvements, helping the team stay on track and ahead of the curve.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis. You will also provide bespoke data insights to support product or process improvement.
- Automation & Efficiency: Develop semi-automated processes for standard data sets and document these analytical processes for long-term efficiency.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, promoting data science and evidence-based decision-making across the business, as well as representing the programme in wider forums and briefings.
- Support CWA Data Strategy: Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the CWA data strategy.
Experience and Skills Required:
To thrive in this role, you'll need a strong background in data analysis, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and concisely. Specifically, we're looking for:
- Power BI Expertise: Proven experience in creating and managing Power BI dashboards, and familiarity with data warehousing tools and techniques.
- Technical Proficiency: A good working knowledge of data tools such as SQL, R, Python, and GIS packages, as well as experience with Microsoft Power Apps.
- Collaboration Skills: You should be a natural team player with a collaborative mindset, ready to contribute to shared goals and support your colleagues.
- Data Management & Analytical Skills: Experience working with large datasets and strong analytical skills to help interpret data and drive improvements.
- Industry Experience: Experience within the construction or nuclear industry will be beneficial, as well as knowledge of process automation and machine learning tools.
- Technology Savvy: In-depth understanding of Office365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) and familiarity with cloud technologies like Azure or Amazon Web Services.
The role will also require you to be highly adaptable, as you'll be working both on-site and remotely to support the project's diverse and geographically spread teams.
