Who We Are

Instructus is a charity whose object is "to advance education for the public benefit by promoting qualifications, training and skills".Our work sits across three core brands: Instructus Skills working in Skills Development and apprenticeship certification; The Springboard Consultancy working in Personal Development; CQM Training & Consultancy Ltd a RoATP provider of apprenticeship and commercial training.Current turnover is approximately £2.5M

The Roles of Trustee & Audit Chair

Our Trustees ensure that Instructus has a clear vision, mission and strategic direction and is focused on achieving these. Our Trustees work in partnership with the Chief Executive and the charity, acting as a custodian of the governance process.

The Audit Chair, alongside being a Trustee,is responsible for the effective leadership of the Audit Committee and relevant reporting to Board.

Our board & audit committee both meet one day a quarter in Market Harborough, Leicestershire either in person or via MS Teams. There is often the requirement for some reading which could equate to another days contribution.

What We Look For

Our Trustees have successful experience in strategic leadership roles, ideally at board level or as part of an executive team with experience as a Trustee for a UK charity preferably.

Our Audit Chair candidate should haveexpertise in one or more of the following areas:
