Overview A Senior technical Systems Engineering role applying the principles of Systems Engineering across the entire engineering development lifecycle, from requirement definition to system integration and customer acceptance into system customer support and disposal. Undertakes system design and design maintenance activities for the Simulation & Training delivery stream (Modelling and Simulation Portfolio), in respect of new products and/or technology insertion into legacy products, under guidance from the System Design Authority (SDA). Provides information and design input to enable the System Design Authority to make/endorse system decisions with respect to all systems aspects of Training Systems equipment, network and software design (noting Training Systems are primarily software-intensive systems running on Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment). Applies Systems Engineering experience to undertake a System of Systems (SoS) approach to analysis, design, test and integration between a mixture of synthetic, COTS and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
