Our Events Division combines the expertise of all GAP divisions to provide a one stop shop to supply the Events industry across the UK with all their equipment requirements.
Working alongside the Project Manager, the Crew Operative/Driver will champion the delivery of the Events Division contracts, and will deliver and supervise day to day contracts where external suppliers are required. You will supervise the installations of GAP products where necessary, including fencing, barriers, flooring and portable toilets. On larger dry hire contracts, the Project Coordinator will ensure the safe loading/offloading of larger dry hire contracts, whilst capturing any damages and missing stock.
The Crew Operative will be provided with a long wheelbase 3.5t flat-bed vehicle and all the tools necessary to be able to service any suitable out-of-hours contracts and make any efficiency within the GAP depot network. You will also be required to support the planning, executing and finalising of contracts, working to strict deadlines and budgets.
Successful applicants should demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience working in a similar role within the events/hire industry
- Technically proficient with event infrastructure such as barriers, fencing and flooring
- Ability to function in high pressure environments
- An up to date knowledge of all aspects of health and safety and a 'safety first' approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Vehicle Mounted, Straight Mast and Telehandler Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
- Driving licence (essential)
