Are you good at sorting, preparing and/or organising? Do you like to work as part of a small team? Would you spare a few hours each week to help us? Join The One Love Project. We are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated individuals to support us during daytime shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday. No previous experience is required, and adults only. Some activities can be done remotely, but most are based at our site in Southend.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and supporting Foodbank, Soup Kitchen, and Well-being services
  • Sorting clothing and food donations
  • Preparing night packs and sandwiches for guests
  • Preparing the site for evening services on Monday or Thursday
  • Serving at the Kiosk, Mini Mart, or Food Market during Thursday daytime foodbank
  • Organising activities, assisting with Arts & Crafts, Gardening for Wellbeing Wednesday, and accompanying guests at Treat the Feet
  • General site maintenance

Skills and Availability

If you have an hour or two to spare each week and want to be part of a small but impactful team, we’d love to hear from you. Flexible hours are available: Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 onwards, Thursday from 09:00 onwards, with additional roles and evening shifts on Monday and/or Thursday from 17:30 to 20:30.
