NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors for the Certified Retail Analyst (CRA) certification program. Preferred candidates are experienced retail industry professionals with at least 5 years of Walmart's Retail Link Decision Support, Luminate Report Builder, or Scintilla experience.
Essential Duties- Develop and deliver courses that prepare students to enter the retail industry as competent employees, focusing on fundamentals of retail analysis that lead to sales and market share growth. The program is highly respected within the Walmart and supplier community.
- Teach courses including MS Office, Advanced Excel & Access for Database Management, Retail Industry Foundations, Retail Link Data Management, Retail Supply Chain & Replenishment, Retail Tools Integration, Retail Strategic Analysis, and Retail Analytical Techniques (capstone).
Classes are scheduled one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm online via MS Teams, accommodating individuals working during the day.
Application ProcessApplications are kept on file for the fiscal year ending June 30. When a position becomes available, the department will review existing applications. Applications expire annually and must be renewed. Communication is primarily via email. Applicants should regularly check their email for updates. Part-time positions are not immediate hires but serve as a resource for departmental needs.
CompensationRate of pay: $2,475 per Instruction Course.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Understanding of higher education program administration, campus and community resources, and relevant rules and regulations.
- Ability to coordinate activities, evaluate information, formulate recommendations, and compile reports.
Employees must manipulate items, sit, stand, walk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. Visual acuity is required for data analysis and computer work. The work environment is a professional office setting with moderate noise levels and standard lighting. Occasional visits to other campus areas or outdoor locations may be necessary.
Required Education and ExperiencePreferred candidates are experienced retail professionals from Walmart, Sam's Club, or third-party providers, with at least 5 years of experience using Walmart's Retail Link, Luminate, or Scintilla. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. Additional experience with applications like Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot may be desired.
