Here at ClwydAlyn, we are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join our Care Home team at Llys Marchan. We have vacancies for both full and part-time roles. These posts are on a permanent basis in our Care Home in Ruthin.

About Llys Marchan
Llys Marchan is a well-regarded care home in Ruthin, North Wales, dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to residents with mental health challenges. The facility offers a warm and homely environment, focusing on the wellbeing, care, comfort, and quality of life of its residents. The care home emphasizes continuous improvement and staff development, offering ongoing training and support. This supportive environment helps staff deliver the highest standards of care and empowers residents to live as independently as possible.
What the Role Involves
- Actively support the day-to-day delivery of care and ensure the provision of good quality, safe, supported accommodation, empowering vulnerable people with mental health challenges to live as independently as possible.
- Be part of a team and work with care practitioners and other staff in ensuring that all residents' individual care plans are regularly maintained to a high standard, as required by our regulatory body.
- Effectively support residents and complete care duties, being competent in care delivery completion and care planning via the use of IT systems.
- Flexibility to work unsocial hours and weekends is essential, where required.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a flexible working approach, have a positive and proactive personality, and be able to overcome challenges and difficult situations whilst achieving positive outcomes.
Skills and Qualifications Required for the Role
- Minimum NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to work towards this qualification. Registration with Social Care Wales once completed.
- Effective communication skills (written & oral) are essential.
- Use of computers and technology to input information and access care planning—training and support will be provided.
- The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
For this role, you will require an Enhanced DBS check, which we pay for.
