About the Role

The Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council is looking to recruit a Laundry Assistant who is required to carry out laundry duties at Dolphinlee House.

The working hours are from 09:00 – 12:00 on a two-week rota:

1. Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday
2. Week 2: Thursday & Friday

Lancashire County Council provides vital residential care services to the people of Lancashire. These services provide a safe, secure environment that allows older people as much independence as possible while supporting a range of care needs. The Facilities Management team carries out cleaning and laundry duties at all Residential Care Homes and Day Centres. Keeping a person\’s personal possessions clean is critically important to those who use the services.

High standards of premises laundry and cleanliness are expected, and prior experience is desirable; however, full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Duties will consist of loading and emptying washing and drying machines, rolling and pressing laundry items, as well as storing laundry items. Some cleaning duties may also be required.
