Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving more than 60,000 school meals daily. We are seeking committed individuals to join our team. You will work as part of a team in the Chorley and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture, and cleaning up afterwards.
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Clean all equipment and catering areas.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Previous catering and food preparation experience is desirable.

Working Hours/Days:

Monday to Friday. Term-time only. Casual hours per week.

The role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013). If successful, you will need to apply for a disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
