The Diocese of York is the Church of England between the Rivers Humber and Tees, and from the Yorkshire coast westwards to around the A1. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced individual to step into the newly reshaped role of Deputy Diocesan Secretary. This pivotal position is designed to support and enhance the mission of the Church by providing strategic leadership and oversight across teams that serve and empower our parishes and the wider diocesan community.
As Deputy Diocesan Secretary, you will provide:
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Diocesan Secretary (CEO) and the Diocesan Leadership Team to drive the diocesan vision and strategy.
- Project Leadership: Lead and oversee key projects that further our objectives, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence and fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Flexibility: Willingness to travel across the diocese and work flexibly, including evenings and weekends.
