Role: Professional Vehicle Transporter
Purpose: To deliver vehicles nationally and provide 5-star customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate HGV Car Transporter for national deliveries, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or damage to management.
- Safely load and unload vehicles, securing them for transport and ensuring their condition is documented.
- Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering a friendly and professional handover, and answering customer queries about vehicle features.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery confirmations and vehicle condition reports.
- Follow all company policies, health and safety guidelines, and UK transport regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
- Valid HGV Licence: Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C).
- Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) – up-to-date.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and HGV safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and handle long hours on the road.
- Physically fit for loading/unloading.
Preferred:
- 1+ year of experience operating HGVs (newly qualified drivers are also encouraged to apply).
