Role: SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Marlow

Start Date: September starts available

Contract: Full-time, Long-term contract

Simply Education is seeking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with a group of students who have become disconnected from their learning. The successful candidate will demonstrate resilience and the ability to model and promote high behaviour expectations. Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport and common interests with students are essential to inspire and motivate them.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate to support students in building resilience, self-worth, and self-regulation skills. The goal is to help students become confident, contributing members of society who can lead successful and happy lives. The school fosters a collaborative environment, creating an engaging learning space and reflection areas, including a themed regulation station as the North Pole, featuring an igloo for students to have quiet time when needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in education, be committed to supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, and align with the school\’s values and ethos. Excellent communication skills, adaptability, flexibility, and a passion for helping young people reach their full potential are crucial for this role.
