35 hours per week, due to the nature of the role, evening and weekend working will be required. Salary £42,000.
We are looking for an enthusiastic events professional to join our team to lead our ambitious programme of events at Ely Cathedral. Your role will be to drive and deliver the provision of concerts, events and exhibitions, in addition to overseeing requests for commercial dry hire and corporate hospitality, balancing this programme within the Cathedral’s primary function as a working church. This role is supported by the Concerts and Events Administrator.
The role will include on-site event set up and management, so the postholder will be required to work evenings and weekend days each month, in addition to some bank holidays.
The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience of at least 5 years in a similar role, managing large third party events and should have proven experience of producing detailed event proposals and budgets. The post holder should have excellent communication skills and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, empower and encourage others. Effective time management skills are also a must, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
