We currently offer a fantastic opportunity for a professional, commercially driven individual to join a dynamic and fast-paced business at an exciting time of growth. Our Client is an independent importer in the UK within their sector, supplying the best perishable, short shelf life products to retail and the wholesale sectors.
The position of Sales Trading Executive will work in a driven, passionate, and sales-led team, identifying and managing sales opportunities within the Wholesale sector. This position will report to the Senior Director and work with a team member approach while maintaining a positive competitive attitude to achieving set targets and goals. It is fundamental that the individual in this position has a passion for sales and a desire for success within an environment that can be pressured and challenging at times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management of wholesale customers' daily requirements
- Monthly reporting to the Senior Director, with accurate figures and reports of sales/growth activity
- Generation of new customers and development of existing customers; growing sales opportunities
- Work with colleagues to understand stock levels available/surplus stock, to identify areas/products that will generate sales
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in fresh produce sales, ideally within the wholesale market.
- Experience within a fast-paced, short shelf life product arena is essential; understanding the importance of time with perishable products
- Confident, personable, and clear communication skills, with the ability to generate reports based on sales figures and performance
- Effective time management, planning, and good organisational skills
- Existing relationships within the London and South East region's wholesale and retail markets would be beneficial.
