Our client is a friendly busy service engineering company based in Huntingdon. They are looking to grow their team and would like to give the opportunity to a trainee to grow and develop a new career as a Trainee Mechanical Fitter on a temporary to permanent basis.
The position of Trainee Mechanical Fitter will be site based in Huntingdon along with field based in and around the East Anglia area.
Main responsibilities for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
- All areas of mechanical assembly, servicing, fitting, breakdowns and refurbishment.
- Use of hand tools and mechanical engineering diagrams.
- Understanding of pumps would be an advantage, alongside fabrication experience.
- Ability to work to job sheets and understand technical drawings.
Qualifications / Skills for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
- Ideally you will have gone to college and studied Mechanical Engineering.
- Have worked within Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Used to various hand tools and enjoy taking things apart and rebuilding.
Hours of work for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm
