We offer a range of full and part time Care Assistant roles in Letchworth, Hertfordshire covering companionship, personal, dementia, respite, overnight, reablement, live‑in, palliative and children’s care.

Principal Responsibilities Of a Care Assistant

• Show up with a smile to provide companionship and build trust with customers.
• Assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
• Help clients with their mobility and any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
• Care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding.
• Provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
• Promote mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreation.
• Make and change beds, light cleaning, empty commodes and general tidying.
• Inspect, launder and mend clients’ clothes.
• Set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clear away and wash up.
• Read and write reports and be involved in clients’ reviews and training activities.
• Adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
• Report to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager any significant changes in a client’s health or circumstances.
• Encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
