Job Description:

Pearse Partners has partnered with a purpose-driven investment manager seeking a Debt Portfolio Associate to support the Energy team’s rapidly growing lending platform.

The firm manages over £3.6 billion across Social Housing, Clean Heat, Private Credit, and Venture strategies, focusing on investing in renewables, storage, and digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Portfolio Manager with covenant testing on the portfolio
• Help proactively monitor the portfolio with a targeted and pragmatic approach
• Regularly update and forecast project cashflows in line with budgets
• Build and maintain financial models for cashflow projections, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments
• Manage loan administration—utilisation requests, repayment schedules, waiver submissions, and compliance
• Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, sponsors, lawyers, investment teams, and other stakeholders

Experience

• Strong understanding of debt structures and documentation
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, or private debt, ideally with a focus on energy/infrastructure
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Growing relationship management and negotiation skills
• Strong financial modelling and analysis skills
