The North Norfolk Railway operates steam and heritage diesel trains through beautiful coastal countryside between the Georgian town of Holt and the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham. The 5½ mile line attracts around 150,000 passengers each year, is one of the County’s most popular tourist attractions and hosts a series of popular annual events including the Forties Weekend in September and the acclaimed Norfolk Lights Express in November and December.
We are now seeking Full- and/or Part-time and/or Weekend Cleaners to join the small and friendly team and keep visitor, staff and volunteer facilities spick and span. The successful applicants will support the busy tourist attraction by keeping offices, shops, toilets, waiting rooms and booking halls clean, tidy and topped up with supplies to help deliver an outstanding experience for our visitors.
Applicants should be reasonably physically fit as the role involves moderate lifting and cleaning, have good attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently. They should also be reliable, punctual, and have good teamwork skills.
Opening times include weekends & holiday periods, so rotas will include some weekend & Bank Holiday working and occasional evenings. Some flexibility around days and hours of work may be possible, and applications for full-time, part-time and weekend hours will be considered. Own transport is essential as the role includes working at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt stations. Pay will be dependent on age and experience.
