Overview: Our client is seeking a proactive and diligent Senior EHS Advisor to develop, implement, and oversee their environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures. This standalone position plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensuring compliance with UK environmental, health, and safety legislation by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
- Delivering EHS training programs to employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
- Investigating accidents and incidents, determining root causes, and implementing preventative measures.
- Managing waste and emissions control processes, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
- Preparing and submitting detailed reports on EHS performance and compliance to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Driving continuous improvement in EHS practices by adopting industry best practices and innovative solutions.
