Are you a fit, kind, caring individual looking to make a difference in a young man's life? We are a small team that works as Personal Assistants for a young disabled man who lives in his own home, sharing it with his Mum and his dogs, so a love of animals is a must.
The young man is looking for fun-loving individuals to help him with his day-to-day living. Being a blind wheelchair user can have its drawbacks, but this doesn’t stop him from enjoying a fun and fulfilling life, including holidays in the UK and abroad, as well as days out on the train to various towns and cities, and attending various concerts and music events.
The role includes help with his personal care, administration of medication via a PEG (full training provided), assistance with meal preparation, domestic chores, and driving the young man’s mobility vehicle to access facilities and activities in the community. A full UK driving licence is a must.
No experience is necessary, but a caring, fun-loving nature and a willingness to learn are more important. You must be outgoing, fun, and enjoy new places and experiences with the young man while not compromising his independence.
If this sounds like you, please apply in writing with a covering letter explaining a little about yourself.
Support is 24/7, with day and night shifts available.
