A fantastic opportunity is available for a skilled and knowledgeable gardener to join a team working in a private estate in north west Surrey. It is an exciting chance to be involved in a garden that is both an existing established designed and built garden in the majority as well as a new project in certain areas.
As the senior gardener you will be responsible for the maintenance of the established gardens, but also to support the other developing areas of the garden working under the leadership of the head gardener. The ideal candidate will need to have strong horticultural knowledge and experience in working in a private garden at the highest standards. You will need experience in leading a small team as well as the initiative to work on your own.
The garden extends to 8 acres, 4 of which are well established, and the other 4 are under development by a leading garden designer. The gardens have an incredible array of specimens that need a knowledgeable gardener to care for them appropriately. The family love spending time in the gardens, and it is a real passion of the owner who is very involved in their development.
Requirements:- Horticultural qualification
- Strong horticultural experience
- Ideally prior experience working in a private setting
- Hardworking
Professional - Full time Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm working 1 weekend every 6 weeks for same time off in lieu.
Good company pension available. Training/courses encouraged. 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). Overtime available when required.
