Quality Engineer BRIEF OVERVIEW – Role: Quality Engineer – Location: Hampshire – Role type: Permanent – Salary: up to £42,500 A leading electronics manufacturing service provider specializing in mission-critical, high-technology solutions. The company is committed to delivering innovation and service excellence across industries such as aerospace, medical devices, and automotive RESPONSIBILITIES – Maintain and develop Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with standards like AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485. – Conduct audits, inspections, and spot-checks for processes and products. – Lead investigations and corrective actions for non-conformities. – Collaborate with departments to ensure quality measures are adhered to. – Manage supplier quality, including audits and addressing concerns. – Support customer communications regarding quality and compliance. – Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. REQUIRED SKILLS – Experience in a quality role within manufacturing or engineering. – Familiarity with standards such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, ISO 13485 or IATF 16949. – Experience with problem-solving tools like 8D, CAPA, and 5-Whys. – Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data handling and reporting. – Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL) – HNC qualification or higher in Electronics Engineering or a related field. – IPC certifications in electronics engineering. – Experience in supplier quality and conducting supplier audits. – Knowledge of quality inspection processes, including first article inspections
