At our residential care home in Aberavon, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored care that respects the individuality of each resident. Our compassionate and highly trained staff work closely with residents to ensure their personal needs, preferences, and wishes are at the heart of everything we do. Our home is a warm and vibrant community of 60 residents, including individuals living with dementia. As a Care Worker, you\\\’ll take a person-centred approach, supporting our residents to live life to the fullest. Your role is about promoting independence, enhancing everyday skills, providing emotional and personal care, and bringing joy to each day.
Responsibilities
- Administering medication
- Supporting with cooking and household tasks
- Helping individuals access the community and attend local groups
- Encouraging and participating in hobbies and activities
- Providing emotional support and meaningful companionship
- Promoting fun and independence through engaging activities
- Supporting individuals with budgeting and financial independence
- Helping with personal care in a respectful and dignified way
- Taking residents out and about; a full driving licence is a plus
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment through shared duties
- Communicating effectively and working collaboratively as part of a team
- Keeping accurate, high-quality records and documentation
- Bringing fresh ideas to the table and embracing new ways of working
- Above all, supporting each person based on their unique needs and goals
We are hiring
We\\\’re looking for Part-Time Care Workers to join our highly regarded residential care home, Llys Y Seren in Aberavon. 18 hour, 24 hours and 30 hour permanent positions are available. Flexible shifts: mornings (8:00-2:30), afternoons (2:30-9:00), or full days (8:00-9:00).

Pay and Pensions
- £24,531 (£12.75 per hour)
- Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift – approx. 1 per week
- Waking night rate: 20% enhancement from 11pm to 7am
