This role is designed to easily fit around your studies with flexible working hours while gaining valuable paid experience in the events industry with average hours ranging from 6 - 12 per week. Hours worked may be eligible for RISE Credits at Manchester Metropolitan University for appropriate degree courses.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver a high standard of food & beverage services and ensure customer satisfaction ratings are high at all times.
- Maintain client-focused service, politeness, and professionalism.
- Provide waiting service during service hours professionally and pleasantly.
- Ensure all catering areas are left clean and tidy, signing off relevant duties on the appropriate cleaning schedules.
- Assist with washing up in the food services area and ensure catering equipment is kept clean and tidy, adhering to Health & Safety standards.
- Comply with company training programmes and all related documentation.
- Support any reasonable requests related to the position and department operations.
- Maintain stock levels under the supervision of the F & B Team Leader or as directed by a senior manager.
- Provide first-class client service at all times.
- Set rooms each evening for the following day per client requirements and company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in meeting rooms, staff offices, and common areas.
- Carry out deep-cleaning duties within the venue as per the schedule provided by the Facilities Supervisor.
- Ensure waste removal is carried out according to Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
- Be available for staff briefings and company events, including attendance at the company.
- Be available for weekend work where necessary.
- Undertake any reasonable requests for ad hoc duties by the venue team.
- Carry out duties following all Health and Safety regulations and company best practice.
- Comply with the company and statutory regulations on grooming and personal hygiene standards.
- Wear the correct standard of dress or uniform at all times.
