The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for a PLM Support Engineer to join the team. This role will provide support for NX and develop strong relationships with key internal groups including Design and Electronics, covering four main areas of work:
- Effective triage of NX incidents
- At elbow support and resolving helpdesk tickets for all areas
- Providing or helping facilitate the development of targeted user training and mentoring
- Day to day system administration
As a PLM Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Vehicle Design and Aerodynamics
- Triage of incidents and resolving NX related issues
- At elbow support where required
- Evaluating and improving existing NX processes
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities
- Review and highlight repeat issues to help identify the root cause and implement a permanent solution
- Supporting with training and best practices for NX
- Developing and updating technical documentation
- Responding to and resolving tickets within the agreed business SLA
- Liaising and working with the wider PLM team to ensure joined up thinking and development
Minimum Requirements:
- Experienced NX user
- 3D modelling experience
- Knowledge of NX2007+ Series
- Knowledge of coding practices associated with NX
- Experience of start-up scripts
- Experience in providing support to users/customers
- Previous experience deploying software installations to client workstations
- Quick and effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Ability to work with others to help continually grow the entire TIG department
- Excellent communication skills, written, interpersonal, and verbal
- A team player with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Fully competent in core IT skills and technical/business knowledge required by the role and/or current assignment.
Please note, this role will require flexibility to work extended hours or cover out of hours upgrades or outages on a rota.
