Job Duties of Healthcare Assistant:

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Administer medication and assist with medical needs under the supervision of junior healthcare assistants
• Help with household chores and meal preparation
• Keep accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client\’s condition

Required Qualifications for Healthcare Assistant:

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
• Valid DBS check
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education of Healthcare Assistant:

Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent

Minimum Experience of Healthcare Assistant:

Prior experience in a care support role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of health and safety regulations
• Ability to provide compassionate care
• Basic medical knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Shift work including evenings and weekends
• Potential exposure to challenging behaviour and medical emergencies
• Physical demands including lifting and assisting clients with mobility
