We’re looking for a news reporter to join our team writing for the Stratford Herald, FocusLife magazine, and our website. You’ll be based at our office in the beautiful market town of Stratford-upon-Avon and will help report on towns and villages in a large rural patch.

We focus on real news stories to make sure we keep our print readers coming back and to help add to our digital subscribers - our website has a paywall as we’re not interested in chasing cheap pageviews. It’s a great opportunity to work in a fantastic news area which never fails to surprise and entertain.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • write fast, accurate copy to deadline
  • publish material to our website, including videos
  • dig out plenty of story and feature ideas and turn them into great articles

This position would suit a senior reporter or an experienced trainee with NCTJ preliminary qualifications. If you feel you meet the range of skills required with the personality to match, please email your CV along with a covering letter to editor andy.veale@stratford-herald.com.
