Person Specification

• A desire to progress within the Rail Industry.
• Openness to ongoing training.
• Willingness to succeed.
• Flexible approach to work location including the ability to lodge away from home.
• Safety as a priority.
• Recognised formal apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
• Driving Licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating or maintaining the machine safely and effectively, as instructed by the Milling or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Reporting any machine defects to the Maintenance Supervisor, where appropriate.
• Collating the data output from the machine where applicable.
• Working safely and effectively to Colas Rail Services Operations procedures.
• Assisting in maintaining quality systems, machine safety packs and stabling database by continually monitoring, reviewing and making recommendations for updating as required.
• Undertaking any other duties if assessed as competent to do so.
