About the role An Assistant Laboratory Technician is required to support our GMP manufacturing team’s work on the CARPALL Clinical Trial in which patient T-cells are redirected to recognise and kill leukemic cells using CAR (Chimeric antigen receptor) gene therapy. The gene therapy medicinal products are produced in a clean-room environment according to GMP regulations. The key roles of this post include, stock management, collection and preparation for clean-room use, providing hands-on support for the manufacturing team in a GMP clean-room environment and collection and distribution of patient and production monitoring samples. This role also includes the preparation and completion of manufacturing associated documentation. Post is available for 13 months in the first instance on salary £31,163 per annum.
About you Applicants must have experience of working in GMP cleanroom facilities. A BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area is essential. Experience of working in a research or clinical laboratory is desirable. Good organisational skills and keen eye for detail is essential. Good communication skills, the ability to work in a team and a willingness to comply with GMP regulations is essential.
