Job Role (Main Duties)
- Project Management
- Manage a large portfolio of projects across client account(s).
- Liaise with clients to obtain detailed briefs for projects.
- Arrange and lead brainstorming meetings to help shape optimal solutions to client briefs.
- Communicate detailed briefs to the delivery team, setting out clear roles and responsibilities and timelines.
- Drive the day-to-day project management of all live projects within an account(s).
- Comply with agreed standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Keep accurate records and status sheets for the client(s) and internal team.
- Work closely with the delivery team to ensure adherence to systems/processes.
- Actively participate in and lead internal and external status meetings.
- Provide accurate, timely sales and revenue forecasts to senior management.
- Meet or exceed sales, revenue, and profitability expectations within the assigned account(s).
- Oversee the delivery of all live projects for the assigned account(s) to agreed financial ratios.
- Deliver against agreed key performance indicators.
- Work closely with the accounts team(s) to ensure accuracy of budget proposals.
- Process supplier invoices accurately.
- Professionally manage any issues regarding budgets with the client.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of timesheets.
- Client Service
- Build and sustain long-term business relationships with client team(s).
- Develop and maintain awareness and understanding of the client’s market.
- Demonstrate knowledge of market and therapeutic area when interacting with clients.
- Attend and lead client meetings with support from senior team members.
- Pro-actively flag any issues to senior members of the internal team.
- Organic Growth
- Provide commercial input to account team to support organic business growth.
- Apply a basic understanding of the principles and processes underlying strategic communications programmes.
- Involve relevant individuals in account team meetings.
- Work with your designated team to explore new ideas.
- New Business Development
- In conjunction with the Business Development team, explore new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the generation of commercially relevant proposals.
- Internal Leadership
- Help develop and mentor less experienced colleagues.
- Plan resource requirements of the account in a timely manner.
- Communicate resource requirements on other departments/suppliers in advance.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications:
- Previous relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a healthcare communications and/or medical education agency.
- Understanding of the drug development and communication process.
- Sound financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to make decisions, initiate actions and solve problems.
- Ability to adapt and respond to change.
- Ability to collaborate with a full understanding of the importance of teamwork.
- Broad range of therapeutic area knowledge.
- Previous F2F and virtual meeting management experience.
