Deck Hand

MRE operates a fleet of windfarm support vessels ranging from 21 – 26m LOA. Deck Hand responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Liaise with the Master/Mate on the tasks being carried out
2. Act as crane driver as required and according to their training
3. Follow a safe system of work including use of PPE and the Permit to Work system
4. Look after deck stores, equipment, paints etc.
5. Undertake lookout, helm or security duties as required
6. Carry out mooring operations as required
7. Assist with cargo operations as required
8. Assist with storing, crane operations etc. as required
9. Undertake maintenance tasks as directed
10. Assist with other ship operations as directed including refuelling of assets
