The University of Bristol is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Coach to join its boat club coaching team and team of performance coaches.
Role responsibilities:
- Support the Head Coach in the design and delivery of the rowing program.
- Undertake coaching duties on and off the water at all stages of our program, from supporting athletes through the GB trials process to our novice program.
- Develop and maintain appropriate standards of behavior and performance alongside the Head Coach.
- Assist the Head Coach in ensuring athletes are compliant with Clean Sport requirements and best practice.
- Assist with identifying and recruiting rowing athletes, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of the fleet and training equipment (other than those requiring repair by a third party).
- Take shared responsibility for boat transport.
- Work collaboratively with university staff to support the professional delivery of sport within the University environment.
- We may ask to observe first-hand the applicant coaching before deciding on the applicant’s suitability.
