Part Time Passenger Transport Assistant

POST TITLE: Transport Driver
LOCATION: Colchester
RESPONSIBLE TO: Transport Manager

JOB ROLE:

To support passengers whilst being transported to and from the Bright Lives CIC centres within North Essex. Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting people of all ages over 17 with additional needs whilst on the bus/minibus.
2. Assisting staff in accordance with the Highway Code and good practice to maintain client, staff, and public safety.
3. Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and tidy both inside and out.
4. Working with adults who have a wide spectrum of disabilities including physical, challenging, sensory, and learning disabilities.

This position is suitable for someone looking for part-time hours with previous experience in a care home or day centre provision.

Working Hours:

Morning: 7.30 am to 10.30 am
Afternoon: 14.30 pm to 17.30 pm

Requirements:

Experience supporting passengers with additional needs is an advantage. An Enhanced DBS will be required, which can be obtained for a suitable candidate at the company\’s cost. Candidates with an Enhanced DBS and relevant experience will be prioritized.
