Position: Branch Assistant

Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum DOE

Hours: 40 per week MON-FRI 07:00-15:30 ROTA. NO WEEKENDS!

Here at Williams, an independent trade-only plumbing and heating merchant, we\\\’re looking for a Branch Assistant to join our busy and friendly team in Basingstoke!

This is a varied and active role which includes: predominantly carrying out warehouse duties (65%), serving customers on the trade counter and over the phone (30%), and occasionally delivery driving (5% / if qualified – not essential)

If you also have previous exposure of working within a plumbing and heating merchants, builders\\\’ merchants or wholesaler, trade counter, DIY, Hardware, or on the tools in the plumbing and heating trade, we would LOVE to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Predominantly delivering plumbing and heating products to our trades customers in the local area.
• Maintaining the warehouse, including stock rotation and general housekeeping.
• Serving on the trade counter and handling incoming enquiries.
• Accurately picking orders in preparation for delivery.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Assisting with the general upkeep of the branch.
• Processing quotes.
