Digital Friend Volunteer
Are you looking for a meaningful way to connect with others and make a real impact on someone\’s life? Join us as a Digital Friend volunteer and help bring the world to the doorstep of older adults who are homebound and isolated.
Many homebound individuals aged 60+ face the challenge of living without access to the digital world, but with your support, we can change that. By volunteering with Age Well East, you’ll help older clients learn essential digital skills – everything from turning on a laptop and adjusting the volume to browsing the internet, booking appointments, shopping online and staying connected with family through video calls.
You don\’t need to be a technical expert for this role. What matters most to us is your ability to connect with people, demonstrate patience and kindness, and have a genuine passion for helping others. We will provide all the training and resources you need to carry out this role.
