We are seeking a talented individual to lead the management of strategic bids and proposals within a fast-paced and innovative environment. As a Bid Manager, you will be at the heart of driving business growth by overseeing the end-to-end bid process, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, commercially sound proposals. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of complex bid activities, from initial opportunity assessment through to final submission and contract handover. You’ll be working alongside technical and commercial experts, ensuring that each bid reflects our value proposition and technical strengths while meeting client expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire bid lifecycle, from opportunity review to submission and contract handover.
- Develop structured bid plans, timelines, and governance, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Lead cross-functional bid teams, coordinating input from various departments to create compelling proposals.
- Facilitate bid/no-bid decision-making processes, offering insights into strategic fit, risks, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with business development, operations, and senior management to align bids with company objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of pricing models and commercial proposals in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Ensure proposals meet client requirements and internal quality standards.
- Track bid outcomes and conduct post-submission reviews to identify improvements for future responses.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing bids or proposals, ideally within a technical or engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of bid management processes and procurement practices.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning tools.
- Relevant qualifications in project management (APM, Prince2) are a plus.
