Internal Sales Executive / Sales Support Engineer / Applications Engineer required to join a global, market leading engineering manufacturer based in York. The successful Internal Sales Executive / Sales Support Engineer / Applications Engineer shall be responsible for technical advice, generating quotations, order processing, expediting, documentation, proposals and other aspects of customer service for measurement equipment & associated instrumentation products and solutions. The Internal Sales Executive / Sales Support Engineer / Applications Engineer will ideally come from any sales, customer service or technical background with full training being provided, however having previously sold a product, engineering solution or a background working in a engineering environment is beneficial. Package £30,000-£40,000 depending on experience. Company benefits Career Progression 25 days holiday including bank holidays Pension Internal Sales Executive / Sales Support Engineer / Applications Engineer Role Give technical advice and guidance on correct technical solution and product selection as per customers needs. Generate & provide quotations & proposals of measurement equipment & associated instrumentation products to customers. Provide technical support and cover to other Sales Engineers and all aspects of Customer services – e.g. order processing, expediting, documentation etc. Learn all aspects of administration which includes order processing, invoicing, checking order confirmations. Product specification for various measurement equipment plus after sales and service support. Liaise with various engineering departments. Commutable to the office daily in York. Internal Sales Executive / Sales Support Engineer / Applications Engineer Requirements Determination, enthusiasm, and motivation to succeed and grow with a reputable engineering manufacturer. Sales, customer service or technical background with full training being provided, however having previously sold a product or a background working in a engineering environment is beneficial. Service Engineers with measurement / instrumentation experience looking to come off the tools and move into a technical role are encouraged to apply. Experience as an Internal Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Support Engineer, Engineering Administrator, Contracts Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Sales Executive, Technical Advisor, Applications Engineer or similar customer service position, ideally within engineering. Technical aptitude and/or understanding of engineering equipment mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering products is advantageous.
