We’re seeking a driven Business Development Manager with a passion for forging strong relationships and identifying new market opportunities. In this role, the Business Development Manager will leverage sales expertise to expand our client base, enhance customer satisfaction, and promote our innovative product offerings. Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the customer experience while introducing current and potential customers to the full range of company products and services.
- Establish strong relationships with both new and existing customers, demonstrating a proven ability to drive sales growth.
- Assist the sales team by generating quotes, scheduling appointments, arranging samples, and fostering both existing and new business.
- Participate in company sales events.
- Conduct cold calls to potential customers (using the ACT database or other resources) to identify new business opportunities.
- Engage in cross-selling and upselling of products.
- Make monthly retention calls, focusing on accounts with zero spending or significant declines, and update the in-house CRM system accordingly.
- Maintain the CRM by documenting all call activities, with an emphasis on capturing customer data.
- Conduct regular market research related to competitors or products with sales managers, proactively suggesting follow-up promotions.
- Process orders when the administrative department is busy or during staff holidays.
- Oversee and manage customer accounts effectively.
- Manage your accounts to drive growth in your designated area.
