Excellent opportunity working as part of a large Health & Safety team for a chemical manufacturing and engineering business. The company works with a number of high-profile clients and you will be exposed to innovative projects and diverse risks. The single site location is based in southwest London and this could suit a candidate commuting from the M3 corridor.
The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Health and Safety Leader and Head of Department in managing daily deliverables and workflow, ensuring timely delivery of stakeholder requirements.
- Mentoring Health and Safety Advisors and ensuring continuous personal development.
- Developing and reviewing health and safety audit plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion of incident investigations and lessons learned, and maintaining up-to-date health and safety documents in line with new legislation and practices.
- Planning and reviewing health and safety training components of the corporate training matrix, developing knowledge and skills in the area of specialism, and being a key part of the site Emergency Response Team.
The Senior Health & Safety Advisor will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) strongly desirable. We are willing to look at candidates at Certificate level.
- Health & Safety experience ideally in other R&D, chemical or a higher education background.
- Good presentation, communication and influencing skills, able to engage and collaborate with various organizational functions.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, respect others, and work together to achieve better outcomes for themselves and customers.
