Our Department of Automotive Studies is currently looking for an individual with the passion for developing people working towards motorcycle maintenance and repair qualifications.

Experience of working in the Motorcycle Industry is essential. A useful network of contacts within the automotive industry is highly desirable.

You must hold qualifications equivalent to, or higher, than those currently delivered in this curricular area. You must be qualified to a minimum SCQF level 7 (SVQ L3 or HNC level) or an equivalent level of qualification in an appropriate field. Possession of current certification is essential.

Ideally, you will have experience in delivering and developing the Further Education curriculum and possession of a teaching qualification is desirable. Assessor and/or verifier units would also be desirable. Current or previous MOT tester status would be desirable, as would certification from manufacturers training courses.

Strong ICT skills will prove a significant advantage and flexibility to teach across multiple automotive disciplines e.g. light vehicle, heavy vehicle, accident repair would be desirable, but not essential.

An effective communicator, and a highly motivated individual, you will have a passion for the subject and the ability to work to deadlines both within a team setting, and on your own.
