MEDICAL MULTI DROP DRIVER – DAYS – B LICENCE – Leighton Buzzard – TUESDAY – SATURDAY

BASED: Leighton Buzzard Site 2 Depot, Chartmoor Road, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 4WG

HOURS: TUESDAY – SATURDAY – 40 – 50 Hours per week Start time 07:00HRS

SALARY: £24,960 P/A (40 hours) – £31,200 Per annum (50 hours) at £12 per hour

London Allowances: £13 per day if 66% of route covers M25, PLUS £13 per day if 66% of route covers London congestion zone.

The company specialises in active temperature-controlled deliveries to hospitals, pharmacies, wholesalers and medical care surgeries as well as to end patients which it serves through its homecare business. Its customers include some of the best known pharmaceutical brands in the world.

As a Multi Drop Driver, you’ll make collections and deliveries to GP surgeries, retail pharmacies, wholesalers and hospitals. You will also be required to make deliveries to patients and on occasion assist them with the rotation and return of stock items, for this we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate excellent levels of customer service.

Starting between 06:00 – 07:00Hrs you’ll work a minimum of 40 hours per week and must be flexible and prepared to work additional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements which may be of an urgent medical nature.

For this role, you may expect to work on average 40-50 hours per week on a Monday – Friday basis with weekend and bank holiday working as required, at time and a half rate of £17.22 per hour.

Due to the nature of the work we do and for successful applicants, Polar Speed will be required to process enhanced disclosure criminal record checks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Check and scan all consignments
2. Complete daily safety checks of vehicle and refrigeration unit
3. Deliver consignments on an accurate and timely basis ensuring products stay within the required temperature range
4. Ensure that records of deliveries are electronically captured and driver manifests are completed
5. Maintain daily communications to provide service updates
6. Demonstrate professional and safe driving competency at all times
7. Present a smart working appearance at all times

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

1. A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
2. Must hold a B category driving licence (ideally no more than 3 points)
3. Previous multi-drop experience advantageous
4. Excellent communication and customer service skills
5. Ability to build effective working relationships with customers/clients, whilst appreciating the need for maintaining confidentiality
6. Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
