Job Title: Ada Developer for Maritime Missile Command & Control
Location: Bristol only
Job Duration: 12 months (likely to be extended), with possibility for extensions
Work Pattern: Full-time onsite, uplift schedule, open to 4 days compressed workweek, including flex/shifts/weekends
Pay Rate: £68 UMB inside IR35
Overview of Department
We work on cutting-edge technology in European missile system design, delivering safe, secure, and reliable products. The System Software department handles command and control software for land and maritime missile systems. We are expanding the Sea Viper and Sea Ceptor missile C2 team for next-generation maritime air defence systems.
Responsibilities
Participate in the entire software engineering lifecycle, from discussing requirements with the Systems team to qualification and release of software.
Essential Skills & Tools
- Experience in Ada programming
- SC cleared
- Strong background in safety-critical software from defense, aerospace, rail, nuclear, or medical sectors
- High standards of coding, processes, and documentation due to safety-critical nature
Preferred Skills
- Experience with formal design methods and tools such as Doors, Dimensions, UML/SysML/Mascot
- Experience developing Linux and networking applications
