Health Safety Environmental and Quality Manager Whitby £42,000-£52,000 + up to 7.5% bonus (O.T.E £55,900) + Benefits (Including 11% matched pension). I am excited to be partnering with Zip Pak part of the ITW group a $16bn turnover business who operate across the globe as they search for a new QHSE Manager to join their site in Whitby. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global business who work with some well-known brands.
HSEQ Manager Requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma qualified
- Have a minimum of 3 years relevant practical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of leading Internal and External audits, (customer and supplier)
- Demonstrable success in gaining and maintaining ISO accreditations
- Customer facing experience
- Experience of implementing and maintaining Quality Management systems
HSEQ Manager Duties:
- Liaise with the Production Manager / Shift Leaders to ensure that Quality and HSE procedures are always adhered to
- To ensure a safety culture and safety awareness is adopted by teams and self
- To operate and administer an effective Near Miss/Safety Catch programme
- To conduct and keep current appropriate Risk Assessments and develop in tandem with the relevant departmental managers and operatives
- Design and deliver H&S Training to operators and staff at all levels
- To Chair regular Quality and H&S meetings
- To ensure Quality procedures are always kept up to date
- To support with complaint investigation processes and to liaise with the team when dealing with customer quality questionnaires
- To create, update and maintain product specifications in line with Change Management procedures
- To ensure ISO 9001, 14001 procedures are always kept up to date
- To arrange and deliver QHSE training as required
- To carry out internal and supplier audits
- To liaise with site engineers/production management to ensure all PPM procedures are kept up to date
- To liaise with independent ISO and other accreditation authorities to ensure both facilities remain fully certified
- To proactively review and implement new and updated HS&E and ISO procedures and legislation
- To manage the PPE requirements of the business
- Support the effective management of teams through coaching, mentoring and excellent proactive communication
- To manage the workload and supervise less senior team members
