As a Head Housekeeper at Alex Wood House Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of cleanliness within the home.
About the role:
Leading our Housekeeping team, the Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.
Salary: £12.31 per hour.
Shift Pattern: 35.5 hours per week, worked across 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday. Shift times will be either 8am to 1:30pm, 8am to 3:30pm, or 1pm to 8:30pm.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage overall responsibility for support services within the home for laundry and domestic housekeeping.
- Support the management team in the recruitment, induction, and training of the support service team; ensuring training targets are met and the team is competent in their roles.
- Manage rotas, budgets, stocks, and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home.
- Support, lead, manage, and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets, and targets.
- A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
