An exciting opportunity has opened at Blythwood Vets for an experienced and enthusiastic Client Care Assistant to join our fantastic front-of-house team! The role involves direct interaction with clients at our reception desk and encompasses all aspects of client care support.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Welcoming and registering new customers.
- Booking in customers and making sure they receive gold standard care.
- Answering the telephone and dealing with a range of customer queries.
- Managing customer expectations regarding wait time.
- Administration duties e.g. scanning paperwork, filling in forms etc.
- Taking payments.
- Promoting offers and services.
- Remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times, regardless of a client or visitor’s behaviour.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Must have experience working within the Veterinary industry.
- Experience working with the public in person and by telephone.
- A passion for working with the public.
- Good telephone manner.
- The ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues, face to face, telephone, and email.
- PC literate with Excel and Word.
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
- Able to adapt and quickly use in-house computer applications and software (training will be provided).
