As a catering assistant, some of your duties/responsibilities will be:
- Taking visitors' orders, operating the tills, and taking payments.
- Serving hot and cold food and drinks to our visitors.
- Taking and making up ice-cream orders.
- Tidying and cleaning tables and visitor areas in the food barn and all catering outlets.
- Supporting the Senior Management to respond to customer demand and flows across the site.
- Barista trained, as you will be making a multitude of hot drinks in the food barn and catering outlets. Full training will be given.
- Running food and doing pot-wash.
- Sweeping and cleaning the floors within the food barn and catering outlets.
- Working in the zoo’s gift shop as needed, serving visitors, operating the tills, and stocking the shelves.
Skills & Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Great team player with a flexible can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Food Hygiene and Allergen compliance – happy to follow protocols.
- Capable of working efficiently under pressure.
- Must be able to get to this rural location.
- No experience is needed as full training will be provided; all we ask for is a willingness to learn and a friendly, positive attitude.
Work Pattern: Sundays
